Building an App for Windows 10 IOT using Angular 2

Window 10 Raspberry Pi

I’m late to the Raspberry Pi fun.  It was on my “to learn” list for the last year, and as usual work gets busy, the kids get busy, and life in general just doesn’t provide enough free time to play with technology.  When the kids were in middle and elementary school we had time to play experiment with Lego robotics. I even had the opportunity to co-teach Lego NXT programming in my daughter’s 8th grade class.   So a couple weeks …

I wrote a post on this new encoder after we launched with some of the high level details about it’s capabilities.  One of the key differentiators of this new Encoder is the Workflow Designer tool that we offer for you to use freely when building your workflows for the new Premium Encoder.  This tool is really amazing and has tons of features to build out complex “blueprints” …

Hyperlapse for Azure Media Services

Why am I showing you the Tower Bridge? Well, it is a cool bridge… but it’s mostly because I’m in London working with customers this week and it will make a lot more sense in a few moments when you read down to my “demo” of Hyperlapse for Azure Media Services. A few weeks back at the NAB show I was discussing with a few friends the new trend of giant nets surrounding a number of exhibitor booths.  This seemed like …

How Azure Media Services Earned CDSA Security Certification

Yesterday, I announced how extremely proud I am that Azure Media Services has recently been awarded certification by a CDSA-appointed external auditor. We are the only media platform in the market that has achieved CDSA certification on our encoding platform services. The CPS certification provides a standards-based method of assuring our customers – and yours – that the intellectual property rights of media assets stored, encoded, managed, and distributed from within Azure are safe and secure. Further, if you build …

Azure Media Services: First Cloud Media Service Awarded Certification by CDSA

After many years of work building out the services and compliance procedures to meet our initial goal of a “security first” architecture for our platform, I am extremely proud to announce that Microsoft Azure Media Services has been awarded certification by a CDSA-appointed external auditor. This initial certification status is valid for six months, after which further successful on-site audits will extend the certification for one-year periods. Azure Media Services is committed to continuing the CDSA audits, as well as …

New Azure Blog posts on Media Services

We’ve been very busy with new features for Media Services including faster encoding, new content protection services with PlayReady, and what everyone has been waiting for – Live Streaming.  But before we talk about the new features, the team has been updating the Azure blog with new details on our existing services. Last week I posted on the Azure blog about our Advanced Encoding Features.  .   In addition,  I just posted a new blog on Delivering Premium Audio Experiences with Dolby …
