Today at the NAB show we announced a brand new player framework called the “Azure Media Player”.  A brand new, free player solution built to playback media content from Microsoft Azure Media Services.  Azure Media Player has the ability to reach a wide variety of browsers and devices with simple HTML and JavaScript code. Azure Media Player is easy to set up and use in your web pages and blogs. It only takes a few minutes to get playback of media content working from your Azure Media Services account.

Visit to see a working, interactive, demo of the player.  See the power of Azure Media Player by accessing the site from your PC, Mac, and popular mobile devices!

I’ve been using this new player on my own blog site, and will continue to add video to this blog using this fantastic new player experience.

Amit Rajput, Program Manager for Azure Media Services, provides full details on the features and how to get started using the new player framework in his blog post “Announcing Azure Media Player”.

If you want more details on capabilities, or find any issues with the player, send us an email at
